There are eight retention basins aka ponds within Waterford Crossing. They are for viewing pleasure and some are for fishing (catch and release only). There is NO SWIMMING allowed in any of these ponds. Two ponds DO NOT allow fishing – they are: “short” Colleen Court/Morar Circle Pond and Kylemore Pond.
The 8 retention basins are located as follows:
- Drake Road entrance
- Behind Princeton Circle and Glen Cairn Way
- Behind Morar Circle and “short” Colleen Court – NO FISHING ALLOWED
- East of Recreation Facility parcel
- Northwest of “long” Colleen Court
- Kylemore Drive entrance – NO FISHING ALLOWED
- Behind 20714 Donegal Lane
- Behind Leana Court and Kelsey Lane
In addition, there are 2 detention basins, which are meant to hold water temporarily and then release it, as follows:
- Behind East Donegal Lane and Ennis Drive
- Behind Kelsey Lane
